Art & Design
After Graduating from Matawan Regional High School, and receiving the title "Most Artistic 1997" Billy Doremus attended Katharine Gibbs School of Business. There he studied Art & Design. At Gibbs he received formal training on Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, Quark Xpress, and Office management programs. Most importantly he learned how to apply these to the workplace.

Graduating with honors, he then started his career interning at Chase Manhattan Mortgage, Edison, NJ in their National Marketing Department. At Chase, he designed posters, sales kits, logos, and all types of in-house flyers. With High Recommendation from his then supervisor Eileen Sorenson, he put himself on the market and started to search for a suitable company to further his development.
After leaving Chase, he then went on to work for Editor & Publisher where he managed the Classified section for over Two years. At E&P he designed ads, paginated a 20-30 page weekly section and sent files to print. Unfortunately after 9/11, advertisers pulled many of their ads and with the threat of folding, lay-offs ensued. But that turned out to be a life changing event! After falling into the NYC rat race, being shoved around on the train everyday, and just feeling like a corporate robot, Billy finally had the chance to spread his wings. You see all that time spent commuting has an effect on a person. A lot of time was spent focusing on the next step. Growing!
Adzing Graphics was formed in the spring of 2002. A small home based creative publishing business geared toward providing companies large and small with low cost production of print/web ads, brochures, and all types of media. It was here he teamed up with the brilliant and talented Michael Attardi, A NFL Alumni and President/Owner of Jersey Sports News. For the next few years, as Art Director of JSN Billy designed ads, laid out the entire bi weekly issue, and designed attractive covers.
After a referral, Billy then freelanced with Big Designs Inc., Point Pleasant, NJ. After just two weeks, he was offered a full time position as a designer. At Big, he fell into the role of managing several magazines. Through Hanley Wood, a company based out of Washington, DC, Billy has to date designed more than Fifty 230 - 650 page publications Cover to Cover.
